Only other gripe about this version is that all the FMV's are not visible that might just be my computer/copy though. Go pick up some cheap usb wired controller (used 3rd party 360 wired controllers are a surprisingly good bet), and play this game correctly.

(In regards to the specifics of the PC version: The addition of the VR missions is awesome and endlessly fun, but this game merits a gamepad, without a doubt. Very few games have as many memorable and emotionally tense set-pieces as those that are found throughout this game, and the boss battles still hold up as some of the best in video game history, really only arguably surpassed by its own sequels (specifically, MGS3). Simply put, one of the best (and most important) games ever made. Very few games A revolutionary exercise in both gameplay and storytelling. If necessary, I can share my very last save (Escape Route) for testing purposes if you have a PC version and you're willing to try something.A revolutionary exercise in both gameplay and storytelling.

I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about this here, but I've also tried to download a no cutscenes/dialogs/audio client, copypasted my old savegames and when the game finished it still didn't let me save (probably for the same reason, skipping movies). was it true? Can this problem be linked with the second one that skips automatically the cutscenes? so what am I supposed to do x_x? I vaguely remember that I heard that if you skip the final cutscenes/credits, you won't be able to save. after the credits screen and all showed, it brings me immediately to the main menu page making me unable to see my final score and save the game! I need to finish the game more than once by loading the latest save to get the stealth camouflage and the bandana. The third problem occurs in the end of the game. Here's a sample video: (the bug starts at 1:08) After about 1 minute of that cutscene, it gets messed up and the sound plays like 2x faster, and before the video finishes even playing, it gets autoskipped like if I pressed Esc or Shift.

A cutscene starts, and everything is like usual. The second one consists in faulty cutscenes.

I've also tried to change the compatibilty of the program, and it failed too. Added to the main game are an alternate sneaking. But I don't really care that much since I'm just going to skip them in the run. Metal Gear Solid: Integral is an expanded version of the original game based on the North American localization (substituting the original Japanese voices with the English dub, while offering a choice between Japanese and English captions) which adds further additional features and an extra disc of VR Training missions dubbed the 'VR Disc'. I've googled a solution and someone suggested to switch the Sample Refresh Rate of the monitor to 50Hz because some old games have issues with newest graphic cards. I want to make a frigging world record (in terms of time) because the PC version has some good advantages over the PSX in completing the game faster (skipping a whole codec conversation with one button, can skip more cutscenes than PSX, can change weapons with hotkeys etc.).įirst bug, the "real life" movies are replaced with a green rectangle for the whole time (but the sound still works), like this. I accidentally found my good old MGS1 disks for both the PSX and PC Integral version of the game and decided to play it again for the PC.Īfter searching for the "newest" speedruns of the game out there on the web, I realized that they were all done with the PSX (some of them with an emulator for PC), extreme difficulty, no alerts and all that uberpr0 stuff.
